it seems that no matter how hard i study for whatever the subject may be i can never do good enough.
5 hours on calculus and a 71.5 on a quiz?
but i guess no one else is doing good on those either, none of us understand those stupid online quizes. i can get a 93 on a test but i cant do any better than a seventy something on the dang quiz. what is up?
accounting.
i have absolutly no interest in it and i try to study but its so confusing and my teacher doesn't make it any easier. her test had nothing to do with the lectures or the powerpoint slides she gives us. and we have this bogus "group project" that we have to do where she asks us to apply what we have "learned" but she never shows us how to apply the junk were learning so its not the way she wants it thus my group failing. on the firs part we got a 17/25 and on the second part we got a 11/25. i cant guess whats on her mind none of us can. so my question is how exactly are we supposed to know what to do?
psychology.
so i studied her outlines, made note cards, and read over my notes a bazillion times. i go to take her test and most of the stuff is from the book and do you think any of it came from her lectures? heck no. all from the book, why even bother to go to class?
macro.
okay so this is a class i can handle. i studied a little and got a 90 on the test. all i have to do is study the in class quizzes and i'll be fine. no worries here, and i actually kind of like it. its interesting and my teacher relates everything in the world of macroeconomics to donuts or ice cream cones, or hot dogs. maybe its because the class is at noon? i dunno.
sociology.
ahh! the one class i enjoy. not only do i understand it but i like it. its really interesting and the class is like one big discussion about people and how they react in the world. the teacher gave us an awesome review guide before we take the test and tomorrow we will review the stuff we need to grasp for the test and then take the test on friday. cake. and fun cake too!
asu 101.
the most pointless class of my life. its all the stuff that made me different in high school but its like they are trying to teach it to college freshman. you know: be aware of the world and how it effects you, take care of your environment, study for things, learn to accept diversity, prioritize, bla bla bla.
why cant teachers just do their job and teach me what i need to know. and not confuse me.
asu is definately not what i expected.
what i expected was being excited for classes in subjects that i wanted to learn about and learning things. and having good teachers.
maybe its just the west campus.
